Christmas Letter 2006

‘Twas weeks before Christmas and all through our home
Too busy we are to chat long on the phone
Can’t believe Christmas is a few weeks away
It always sneaks up on us, what can we say

Craig has been busy as far as work goes
Piles of new clients right up to his nose
Excited to give the kids a swing set
A King-kong size is the one he did get

Maria Estella’s always busy, don’t you know, with the kids
If only to find a chore to get rid
It seems like she’s always so far behind
More time, more time if only to find

Jamie’s growing, in the pictures you’ll see
So hard to believe she’s already turned THREE
Singing and dancing she’s really good at
And drawing, sometimes she only does that

(can you believe this blond, blue, light skin girl came out of me?)

Joshua, our son, one can be quite so proud
I have to admit he can really be loud
More and more words he’s beginning to say
He surprises us greatly as we go through each day

Still happily married, it’s now been 5 years.
Thinking how blessed I am brings me to tears.
We had an awesome chance for a romantic getaway
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, with kids they did stay

Looking forward to our trip down south once again,
How awesome it is to catch up with good friends
Corpus Christi, Texas here we all come
We hope there will be plenty of toasty warm sun

Two family reunions; one happy, one sad
Words can’t explain how much I miss Dad
He passed away suddenly not long ago
To Panama, my sisters and I did all go

Must finish this note, to get it all sent
But before I end it, I’ll leave you this hint
May 27th is when it is due
A boy or a girl, we have not a clue

As we celebrate God’s gift of Jesus’ birthday
That leaves me with just one more thing left to say
Blessings to all and we send our love too.
